n today’s workout I am using my new piece of fitness equipment the Ultimate Sandbag. I have been looking for something new to spice up my workouts for a while – something to add an extra kick to my ass and take these 12 minute sessions up to the next level. What I like about the sandbag is that it is very practical. It’s compact and portable which is great for us because as you know we are gypsies and constantly moving. I don’t have to worry about leaving this behind when we move to Spain in 2 months. The other cool thing is that you can adjust the weight to your exact needs and fitness level. It has multiple handles and grips for different exercises, and the weight is constantly shifting and moving so that your body has to activate different muscles continuously. This equipment is a keeper, and I can see it becoming a regular addition to my workouts because it is great for building functional strength. If you don’t have a sandbag you can still do all of these exercises with just your own bodyweight. I have a hunch that a few of you out there will even take a shot at making your own home versions of this equipment. I can imagine a lot of you will be slinging around duffel bags full of dirty laundry in no time.
